Face-It

The Face It® Movement, conceived and created in 2012 as a response to the public outcry against the increasing number of child abuse deaths in the Commonwealth, officially launched in April 2013 as an initiative led by Kosair Charities. Face It directly addresses the unacceptable incidences of child abuse and neglect in Kentucky with the promotion of best practices in child abuse prevention and intervention, engaging the community, and advocating for effective policies to improve the child welfare system.

Spinal Bifida Association of Kentucky

The Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky is a resource center for children and adults and their families impacted by Spina Bifida. SBAK educates parents on how to be the best advocate for their child and helps children and adults learn how to advocate for themselves through programs and services that help children and adults overcome physical, cognitive, and social challenges to become successful and independent.

 

 

Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky

The Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky exists to celebrate our Down syndrome community, support individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our region, and educate ourselves and others about the true joys and challenges of Down syndrome.

Epilepsy Foundation

The Epilepsy Foundation leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy, and helps accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures and save lives.

Barren Heights

Our Mission is to love and encourage families. We do this primarily by providing free weekend retreats and community outreach events for families who have children with physical or developmental disabilities.
