we’re here to amplify YOUR voice!

Advocacy is a pillar of our service model. Through our advocacy efforts, we are able to help affect sustainable positive change on a broader level for the most impact. We affirm the belief in the inherent dignity of every person regardless of ability and insist on full inclusion in our society of persons with IDD and their families. To that end, we are committed to advocate on the issues that are most important to individuals within the IDD community by conducting surveys, assessments and other community engagement to ensure that members of the IDD community are given voice and guiding our efforts at every step. We do not advocate on behalf of our member—we advocate alongside those whom we serve. We propose ideas for legislative action, add our support of specific initiatives, and we also use our resources to help amplify the voices of the individual to support their right to Self-Agency.
