Council Membership Drive and Revised Bylaws

Dear Members of the Council on Developmental Disabilities,

Our annual membership drive has already commenced with a request for payment of dues emailed by Wild Apricot in our behalf. Thank you to those of you who have received the email and have already paid dues for the next fiscal year.

Dues for everyone this coming fiscal year have been set at $50.00 per person in order to be a voting member of the Council. The revised bylaws approved by the Council Board of Trustees has in July 2021 has expanded the definition of who can be designated as a voting member of the Council. Below is the complete list taken from the Council revised bylaws.

The revised bylaws stipulate ways in which an individual can request that their dues be waived. Individuals with a developmental disability themselves shall not be required to pay dues. However, in order for a person with a developmental disability to have and retain voting privileges, they must apply annually to have dues waived.

Please consider renewing your Council membership and paying your annual dues by responding to the Wild Apricot email. If you have not received an email from them, you can renew your membership by going to the Council website and following the instructions for membership and payment.

This year, we are offering a Council swag bag to everyone who becomes a member and pays their dues.

Your membership dues help to sustain the great programs that the Council is and will continue to offer in the future.

Best regards,

Bob Napolilli, CEO
